Daniel Chester French (1850-1931), an American Sculptor, created the American Minute Man in Concord, MA, at age 23 for his first commission. He also created the symbol of Wisconsin atop the state capitol & the statue of Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC.
