Los Angeles County Museum of Art Photos

LACMA over the years has expanded its campus of galleries in Hancock Park near the La Brea Tar Pits. The campus comprises the Ahmanson (1964) & Hammer (1965) Buildings by William L. Pereira; the Pavilion for Japanese Art (1978-88) by Bruce Goff & Bart Prince; Art of the Americas Building (1986) by Hardy, Holzman, Pfeiffer Assoc.; & the Broad Contemporary Art Museum (2008) by Renzo Piano. It also encompasses the Streamline Moderne LACMA West building (1940) (former May Co. Department Store) by Albert C. Martin Sr.
