Johnson Square, Savannah, GA Photos

Johnson Square (1733) of Savannah is at Bull & St Julian Streets. Its main sites is a monument to General Nathanael Greene, Revolutionary War hero & Savannah patriot. Around the square stand the Savannah Bank Building, several other heritage banks & Christ Church. The square honors Robert Johnson, Royal Governor of South Carolina, when Georgia was founded. Georgia was created to serve as a protective buffer against invasion from Spanish Florida.
