Hilo Region, Big Island of Hawaii Photos

The Northeastern corner of the Big Island of Hawaii is anchored by the town of Hilo. The area is characterized by tropical jungle & tall waterfalls coming off the slopes of the Hawaii's volcano. Akaka Falls are the tallest in USA. Hilo area attractions include the Hawaiian Tropical Botanical Gardens, Lava Tree State Monument, & the Mauna Loa Macadamia nut plantation.
