Frank Lloyd Wright Designed Houses in Oak Park & River Forest Photos

Frank Lloyd Wright, as he lived in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, and attended the local Unitarian Church, gained an ever increasing circle of acquaintances who commissioned houses from him as early as 1892. Some of these houses were done without the knowledge of his employer Adler & Sullivan, homes Wright himself called bootleg houses. After Wright & Sullivan parted ways, Wright continued to build in Oak Park & adjacent River Forest.
