Louis Sullivan's Auditorium Building, Chicago Photos

The Auditorium Building (1890) (17 floors) (430 South Michigan Avenue) now houses Roosevelt University. Designed by the firm of Adler & Sullivan, it made Louis H. Sullivan's reputation as an architectural genius & solidified the engineering position of Dankmar Adler. The building combined a hotel, offices & an opera theater.
