Lee Circle & Museum District, New Orleans Photos

Lee Circle is crowned with a 60-foot General Robert E. Lee monument (1884) at the end of St. Charles Avenue. Several museums are clustered in the area including the Confederate Civil War Museum in the Confederate Memorial Hall, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art which includes the Richardsonian Romanesque Taylor Library (formerly Howard Memorial Library), the Contemporary Arts Center in the Besthoff Building, plus The National World War II Museum.
