Monmouth, Natchez, MS Photos

Monmouth (1818) a neoclassical Federal-style mansion in Natchez, MS, was the residence of General John A. Quitman, a New Yorker who advocated Southern secession. Consequently, the house was treated roughly by Northern troops and went into decline. In the 1970s the house was restored & now serves as a bed & breakfast plus museum.
