1901 Pan American Exhibition, Buffalo, NY Photos

The 1901 Pan American Exhibition featured electric lights strung on buildings through the large grounds north of downtown. Only one building remains: the former Greek-temple-style New York Pavilion now the Historical Society Museum. The Expo lasted 185 days, covered 342 acres, & drew 8,120,000 visitors. It was marked by the assassination of visitor President William McKinley.
