Empire State Building (1931) by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon Photos

The Empire State Building (1931) (350 Fifth Ave. at 34th St.) was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon in the Moderne style. Until 1972 it held the record as the world's tallest building. The tower atop the structure was conceived as a mooring mast for dirigibles.
