Philadelphia Museum of Art Photos

The Neoclassical Philadelphia Museum of Art was originally built as Memorial Hall for the Centennial Exposition of 1876 to celebrate the 100th year of the Declaration of Independence. The building was designed by Hermann J. Schwarzmann. Today it exhibits a world-class collection with depth in American arts & crafts, textiles, European painting & sculpture, Asian art, & modern art.
