Station Square & Incline Railway, Pittsburgh Photos

On the south bank of the Monongahela River an escarpment overlooks downtown Pittsburgh just across the Smithfield Street Bridge. The spot thus became the site of two transportation facilities: the Monongahela Incline Railroad & the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Station. The P&LERR Station has now been redeveloped & has the area become an urban leisure spot.
