South Dakota State Historical Society Museum Pierre Photos

The South Dakota State Historical Society Museum in Pierre is housed in a modern building which, like a sod hut of old, is partially buried in a prairie grass covered hilltop. Its collection of Native American arts is unique in that several First Peoples participated in its arrangement and captions. The Museum the goes on to display the history of later settlers with many fine artifacts.
