Ayres Architecture Photos

Atlee Bernard Ayres (1873-1969) born Ohio & grew up in Texas. After studying architecture at Columbia University in the early 90s, he returned to San Antonio where he partnered briefly with Charles A. Coughlin (until he died in 1905). In 1924, Ayers partnered with his son Robert Moss Ayres (1898-1977) to build many residences in several revival styles: esp. Spanish Colonial. Robert Moss Ayres trained at University of Pennsylvania & École des Beaux-Art.
