Elijah E. Myers Architecture Photos

Elijah E. Myers (1832-1909) born in Philadelphia, moved to Detroit, MI in 1871 to practice architecture. In 1881 he won the competition for state Capitol for Austin, TX, but was fired in 1886 before its completion. He also designed the capitols for Michigan & Colorado, the former parliament buildings in Rio de Janeiro, plus many courthouses, city halls, hospitals & churches in the USA.
