Mount Rainer, WA Photos

Mount Rainer is a dormant volcano which on a clear day can be seen on the skyline of cities like Seattle & Tacoma. Originally called Mount Tacoma, the mount lost this name when Seattle overtook Tacoma as the dominant city of Washington State. Tacoma remains the better viewing point since the vantage point is less against the sun.
