Madison Downtown Photos

Madison's center is the hill upon which the State Capitol sits on a peninsula between Lakes Monona & Mendota. The grid of streets around the State Capitol square contains a mix of heritage & modern buildings of limited height so as not to overpower the capitol's dome. Off one corner of the capitol's square, a diagonal street connects to the University of Wisconsin.
