The Germanisches Nationalmuseum (Germanic National Museum) sits in a former convent fronted by modern structures designed by architects Sep Ruf then ME DI UM. The collection, focused on Germanic art and decorative arts, is the largest in Germany. The approach to the museum is along the Avenue of Human Rights sculpture columns (1993) by Dani Karavan.
