Antique American Style Wall Clocks Photos

Antique wall clocks in the collections of various American museums & museum houses. Early clocks had to hang on a wall to be high enough for an uncased pendulum swing. Cases evolved & eventually became freestanding tall clocks. However, the American practice of hanging clocks on walls continues.
