Papua New Guinea Photos

Papua New Guinea is interesting because the landscape is so fragmenting that this small nation contains 850 of the world's roughly 6,500 languages. Until westerners broke the isolation of the highlands in the 1930s, many tribes of PNG thought they were the only people on earth. The first wheels that some PNG cultures saw were on airplanes. Those wanting to see how early peoples lived saw examples during the 20thC.
