Roman Empire Portrait Heads & Busts Photos

Romans were noted for honoring people with portrait carvings ranging from heads, to herms, to busts, to full figures. In some cases workshops specialized in carvings of bodies to which a customized head could be added. Many Roman sculptures are copies of Greek originals.
