Salver Trays Photos

Salvers are flat trays without handles used by servants to serve drinks, deliver mail or pass around mostly non-food or finger-food items. Formal salvers usually have feet and are made of silver. Some salvers are of glass with a central stand. Food in usually served from platters which have deeper surfaces and no supporting feet. The term Salver is not always used precisely and is applied to what are trays or platters.
