Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr Silver Art Photos

Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr, leading makers of English silverware, met in the 1890's when both were attending evening classes at the Sheffield School of Art & formed a partnership which lasted until 1919. They produced silverware ranging from cutlery, to decorative objects to liturgical items to larger pieces custom made for municipal buildings & organizations. Their designs often reflected the Arts & Crafts plus Art Nouveau movements.
