Georgetown Loop Railway, CO Photos

The Georgetown Loop Railway runs steams trains between the Colorado mining villages of Georgetown & Silver Plume. It gets the name loop because as the track approaches Georgetown, the only way it can descend in the narrow valley is to cross a bridge then circle back under itself. Travelers can board in either town which are now joined by Interstate highway 70.
