Woolworth Building (1913) by Cass Gilbert Photos

The Woolworth Building (1913) (233 Broadway opposite City Hall) by Cass Gilbert incorporates Gothic-style sculptures throughout and features facades to be viewed from all four directions as a stand-alone skyscraper. Known the "Cathedral of Commerce", it was the world's tallest building until 1930.
