Palazzo Carignano & Risorgimento Museum, Turin Photos

The Palazzo Carignano on Piazza Carlo Alberto in Turin hosts the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano which presents Revolutionary & Independence-era Italian history (1700s-1800s). Besides being an architectural treasure, the Palace has historical significance as birthplace of Italian King Vittorio Emanuele II and as the Italian Chamber of Deputies (1848-60) until the Government moved to Florence & then Rome.
