Unity Temple, Oak Park by F.L. Wright Photos

Unity Temple (1906) (861 Lake St.) by Frank Lloyd Wright is considered his first major non-house, public building. The high windows were a practical response to noisy streetcars & trains nearby. A limited budget stimulated other architectural inventions leading Wright to call this significant church "my little jewel".
